Statistics - German Muslims

There are about 5 Million Muslims living in Germany.
Most are Turkish. There are of course some arabs. Many from North Morocco.

As for the German muslims themselves they estimate at about 100,000  .  Many came to Islam through marriage. There are of course many german muslims who came to Islam their own way, by reading or due to contacts with muslims etc. These are usually the ones who are very active in Islam. Dawa is an important key for the german muslim. He wants his fellow countryman to know about Islam as it really is, and not as presented falsely by the large Media Empire. Many books are available about Islam in the local language.
A growing number of newspapers and magazins on Islamic activies are also increasing yearly. Even an Internet presence can be seen now by Islamic Organizations and Groups.
